About us
The birth of our first child was a remarkable, empowering, and life changing experience that brought us infinitely closer together as a couple and set the loving foundation to start our new family. But the journey to get there was far easier said than done.
Modern
medicine had decided that pregnancy, birth and therefore a child would
never be a part of our future. Needless to say the positive pregnancy
test came as a shock and surprise to both of us. Now what? We knew next
to nothing about birth, babies, kids, or parenting other than what can
be seen on TV and the popular media. Tremendous feelings of
overwhelming uncertainty, coupled with confusion, anxiety, and fear of
the unknown began to set in. We didn't know where to begin, what to
look for, which books to read or whom to consult for our questions,
what to trust if we found something, or what the future was going to
hold. Soon, the fog of confusion began to clear and we were able to get the answers to all of our questions and more. It was an eye-opening experience to say the least. (We now have two beautiful sons.) For
The Love of My Family was created to help other pregnant mothers,
couples and families avoid the same frustrations and overwhelming
feelings of confusion and uncertainty. We have spent countless hours
gathering a plethora of resources in an effort to centralize any
information you would possibly need to achieve the birth you desire in Although
Stephanie worked in the pharmaceutical industry for 8 years prior to
the birth of our first son, we are not here to give medical advice, just a
wealth of knowledge to enable you to make your own informed decisions.
We have searched high and low in this city to find the very best
pregnancy and childbirth information available. We may not have all of
the information or answers, but we can definitely help you find it. We
want to share our education and experience so that you can focus your
time and energy on creating the best life possible for your upcoming
bundle of joy and your new or growing family!
